Audio-CD ripping services
There are commercial services to 'rip' audio from commercial CDs to MP3 and other formats on DVDs, so that they can be transferred to computers and portable audio devices. Six, in the USA, are listed at Designtechnica. Whole collections can be transferred for about US$1/CD.
